These are the tests that I most commonly discuss with my patients:
- CBC with differential
- Cholesterol panel
- Glucose & HbA1C
- Kidney function
- Liver function
- Hormone panel
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12
Has your MD told you that you’ll hear from them only if there’s something abnormal?
Unfortunately, your MD doesn’t have the time to explain every test that was run in you blood work because your appointment is often only 5-15 minutes long.
My follow-up appointments tend to be 30-45 minutes long, which is plenty of time for us to go through your test results thoroughly.
Normal vs Optimal
I will discuss all of your test results with respect to the standard “normal” ranges, and then we get into the nitty gritty of making goals regarding the optimal ranges.
I want you to better understand what you’re looking at
My goal is that every patient that I see who brings in their most recent blood work walks away with a better understanding of what all of the numbers mean.
This way you can clearly see where your health goals are.
And you are held accountable of putting in the work to achieve your health goals.
